tldr - Cardinal Camera isn't doing honest business. Keeps telling you that your gear will come by the date that you need it by and when it doesn't, delays the cancellation of your order.
I placed an order with Cardinal Camera for X2D II, which was backordered.
I wanted it before I left for my trip to Korea towards the end of Sep, and they told me that it'll be available by then.
The camera did not arrive. I happened to find one in Korea, so I now need to cancel the order with Cardinal Camera. They've been giving me the run around on when they'll cancel my order.
Either they need to write down the info or they can't access the system today, so they'll do it first thing tomorrow.
The three times I've called/emailed to try to cancel the order, they responded that it'd be here in 2 days, are you sure you don't want it anymore? I really don't like playing games, and this sleazy sales tactic is very much not appreciated. I've initiated a dispute through Paypal, and we'll see where this goes.
To close the loop here. They called me soon after I put through the paypal claim and refunded me. Again, I really don't appreciate the business practice here. Beware of this when you purchase anything from Cardinal Cameras.
Some years ago I had a different, but also negative experience where I never was able to buy the product. It just feels sleazy like buying from a guy in the back street or something.
