My wife and I spent a couple days in Point Reyes National Seashore this week. On our third day I was watching this great blue heron when it turned and started running towards me. I was only about 25 yards away and to be honest I kind of panicked for a moment, but then in a split second it stopped, grabbed a fish, tossed it in the air and swallowed it.
