I'm trying to understand the workflow involves in using Cobalt Image, could someone help? I did some research and I've watched Tom Carlton but still have questions.
I'm using a Sony A7RIII, Adobe LrC, and want to have the Leica M look.
Let's assume I've purchased and installed the Cobalt Image Base Pack and Leica M for Adobe Emulation Pack. (I have not purchased them. I'd like to understand the workflow required before purchasing)
1. After importing Raw file. I'll go to profiles to pick Cobalt Standard, for example, correct?
2. Then how do I apply the Leica M emulations? are they also profiles or are they presets or something else?
I read somewhere that applying Cobalt base pack will create a new DNG file? is that true? I don't want to have to store both the RAW file and the DNG file.
You have to install both packs, and then you pick the Leica M one in profiles. If you don't install the base pack, the Leica one won't show up. It does not create a new DNG.
No need to select the base option first, just go straight to Leica M. No new DNG is created, they are editing settings that LrC stores along with any other edits you have made & are just as easy to undo or change as everything else you do in LrC. LeoNguyen wrote:

I use a Mac Studio and an IPAD along with Adobe LR Cloud
Install base pack, then install M profiles- Then apply the color profile you want. Extrenly simple and probably the best tool on the market for consistency-
