My wife and I spent a couple days in Point Reyes National Seashore this week. On our first day we we hiked along the Tomales Bay Trail. We saw several groups of Tule Elk along the way. We were heading back to the truck when we ran into a herd that was only about 20 yards off the trail with just a row of bushes separating us and them. The big male wasn't happy and started huffing and grunting at us as we tried to walk by. We kept our distance and he herded his harem further up the hill.
