Yes, I was surprised the Sony Alpha Blog ranked the Sigma 20-200 above the 25-200.
I have seen initial positive results when using the Sigma's close focusing. Need to test it much more - but that is encouraging. I find the below photo plenty sharp (if it doesn't show up as sharp here due to the link, check it out on Flickr - https://flic.kr/s/aHBqjCEYqF ):

And what's now your opinion about the lens?
Do you still think it's not sharp enough?
Still undecided. I took some shots of a hawk feeding from fairly close the other day, and walked away feeling it was not sharp enough. Compared it to the Tamron 35-150, Sony 20-70 and Tamron 50-300 during a hike yesterday and found sharpness borderline acceptable - causing me to reconsider.

Speaking of Cherry blossomed. Pretty please with a cherry on top we want to know the focal length with the description. With that said I greatly appreciate the beautiful photographs being shared and am happy to see the Sony A7R3 getting excellent t usage.

A few from Nepal with the Sigma 20-200. The lens is not as sharp as I would like - and nowhere near as good as the Tamron 50-300 - but a very versatile focal length that has allowed me to capture a few shots I am quite fond of:

Just got back from Olympic National Park and took the Sigma with me instead of my usual 16-35 pz and 50-400 tamron. Overall was very happy with the one-walkaround lens solution and I’m happy with the shots I got without the lens changes. Still culling and editing but for anyone on the fence, it’s a great lens worth having. I definitely think this will be my go-to lens for travel from now on.
