He's buried in work. I just spoke with him, and he returned my Leica 50/1.5 Summarit. I had planned to sell it, but he insisted on doing a full CLA first, which delayed things a bit. https://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/1917081/
He just had my 50/1.5 Summarit too. He must have 3 of those things at any given time.
I've had lenses with him off and on over the last year and a half or so and haven't had any significant delays. communication's been fine. March is a long time though for sure, i'd definitely give him a call.

What I learned from Don is that the Summarit cannot be adjusted to the rangefinder, at least without any grinding. I had purchased one previously that was not aligned with the RF, and he could not correct it. Later I bought another copy that was perfectly aligned but needed a CLA for the focus ring rotation and dust removal, which Don handled. That service took about four to five months.
I have a feeling he might have been working on both of ours at the same time. I had mine 6-bit coded and after it came back from the machine shop he had to effectively reassemble and realign it.
I wasn't sure about the 6-bit coding but it's better (for me) than having it default to the wrong thing when i'm using it on a digital body. I have it painted for one of the 50 summilux's and then I tag the images from there.
I have and I also sent him a body and lens in March as well. At that point he said about 4 weeks but I think what happened is he got flooded shortly after I talked to him and may have lost track a bit. After a couple calls, emails we got it sorted out and he was able to CLA both and ship back a few weeks ago. The quality of work is as good as always fwiw.
