I know you have a lot of hard cider out your way but I didn't know you also had hard milk.

Heh brother! It IS hard cider time here!
It has been extremely humid and warm here with lots of rain the last few days-weeks. Lessens the appetite for a glass of hard cider..cooler weather increases that appetitie.
I thought of you and Wisconsin when I posted this image!

1959 - The Cider Barrel is painted red, white and blue.

Sacra Waca, Good capture, Dan'l! Down south of Celina, OH, there used to be a 15 ft tall rooster out front of a pullet ranch.

Well I have one of those also Douglas! I am on Suzanne's laptop and no photo..
I will post that 20' rooster when I get downstairs. It is a local farmers mailbox!
Thanks!

This Saturday there will be "Cows On The Concourse" at the Farmers' Market on the Square. It's an annual event that lets city kids get up close with their milk supply. I'll see if I can get a decent shot to post for you.

Thanks brother! I love all things agriculture!
Our County Fair is really the only opportunity for many kids to "touch" those creatures that feed us, seen on a Sunday drive or only seen on TV.
Hard cider takes me back to Iowa again. FT Dodge had "Dr. Otto's orchard". We picked our own apples and bought a few "jugs" of cider to take home.
I have a photo on 1 of my computers, I am lousy at indexing photos on my 2 photo computers, of a "still" I discovered in the woods/mountains during a photo trek.
The "shed" was filled with dark gallon jugs tucked away inside the wall joists. The "vats" were gone but some coiled copper tubing still visable.
Good luck at the market! Look forward to seeing what makes Wisconsin "Thee' Dairy State"!
