p.1 #1 · The historic village of Burkes Pass - South New Zealand
My three-week road trip through New Zealand's South Island in April was a journey through a breathtaking landscape. After a night in Lake Tekapo, I ventured into the stunning Mackenzie region, a highlight of which was a quick stop at the historic village of Burkes Pass. Despite challenging weather with heavy rain and intense winds, I was able to capture a few photos of this charming place. Burkes Pass is home to the unique Three Creeks Shop, a delightful heritage walk, and the beautiful St. Patricks Church.

Oh these are "rippers" Parul! (NZ/Auzzie for smashing, wonderful)!
I love both Countries!
I served in SE Asia with soldiers from both Countries and it was a treat and a real education in lingo.
Again what a place!!
Did you try vegamite?

I love it,.....Digger Dan...my friend no I didn't try vegamite Amazing people and such a beautiful country. You would love this stop I made.... the weather was not great otherwise, lot to look and photograph. You know the pressure when your spouse is sitting in the car waiting for you

Dam...What a treasure trove...Love it all and talk about photo ops!
O Bill, it was truly a treasure trove. Everything was up for sale and there were some really neat signs but needed more time. Agree, the photo ops were unlimited!

Vegamite is a very acquired taste! It is a yeast of sorts. Marmite and vegamite are the 2 I remember.
I spent 45 days in both Countries in 1970. I was already to move to "Oz" when my military ibligation was finished in 1973 but "life" got in the way.
Yes fantastic Countries and Allies!

Digger Dan, that's life...... but I will say one thing, if you would be in Oz, you would have been a great landscape photographer as their landscape is truly awesome

Cedric, this place was truly a gold mine. The weather was brutal otherwise, I would have photographed a bit more. Ya, it's a long flight from Brussels
