Yesterday I was out exploring the urban landscape. I found the graffiti that pops up on freight trains and city walls — as part chaos, part art, part nonsense. Some pieces shout in bold block letters, others dissolve into tangled lines or absurd characters. I like how these fragments become visual conversations across different surfaces.

Great vibrant compositions Scott!
The boxcars especially! The town I grew up in has rr tracks running straight through the middle of town.
Suzanne's dentist is right by there so I sit on his porch and watch the graffiti laden boxcars go by wishing I had brought my camera.
Love your creativity in shooting these and your WA entry! I have mine but have not edited it yet for entry.
Again SUPER work!

Really appreciate that Dan! The boxcars were fun to shoot — they never run out of surprises. Sounds like you’ve got the perfect spot by the tracks; hope you bring your camera next time! Excited to see your WA entry too!

Actually since my hometown has gone from a quaint little country town to a huge blossoming "tech area", they fenced off most of the rr tracks so I have to view through fencing. But there is a spot near the olde town's fireshouse that borders the rr tracks, I can sneak over and grab some shots if need be.
Thanks!
Dan
Scott, I am on my 30"calibrated monitor and these look absolutely amazing.
What size view do you view your images on when "Editing"?
The reason I ask is, Initially I am on my wife's MacBook Pro 16"..so views are small...When I eventually get to my photo dedicated monitor(Windows11)..the images come really alive!

Thank you Dan! I use a 32" calibrated LG monitor for my desktop setup. I like the larger size monitor for a more immersive experience and to see details better, sounds like you do too! I appreciate the kind words, especially coming from you!!!
