Astor Plaza in Greenwich Village, NYC, is a busy crossroads between the Central Village and the East Village, traversed by thousands of people every day. There's a huge revolving sculpture in the center of the plaza that is the square's focal point. This musician sat in the shadow of the sculpture, making music playing his drum. He was a talented musician whose infirmity didn't deter him. I listened for some time and then dropped money into his tip bucket.
