p.1 #1 · Ruby Throated Hummingbirds

Lots of humming bird activity was reported at one of the two hummingbird gardens at the Marine Nature Study Area in Oceanside NY. I headed straight to that garden on Wednesday morning and was immediately treated to a female ruby throated spending a long time going from plant to plant. Within 5 minutes another came in and did the same. After nearly 30 straight minutes of hummingbird activity I moved on to other subjects.
