Great shots! The first one is my favorite, how the layers of color and mist stack up. I'm glad to see you still taking pics, you've been improving a lot.

Hi The Rat;
Thanks to your encouragement. It was very foggy morning and crowdy due to reopening of the BRP road
I learned that most eastern Carolina BRP will be opened in this Fall season upon request by nearby business and tourism market. Thanks to your wonderful images here.
I put one image from Fujifilm X-T3 taken from Devil's court overview against Sam Knob mountain
Can be seen Cold mountain at top left as silhouette.

I think it’s a great set. I think the 4th could be really interesting if you processes the mountain layers separately and really added some processing drama to the cloud cover. It would really bring out the depth. IMO

Great photos.
That is truly an event worth celebrating.
Would love to do some long distance cycling on the Parkway, but when I was last down, near the Ashville area in September 2021, traffic was busy with many distracted drivers.

Taperwing:
Now not many during morning, but crowdy afternoon.
You may do cycling in the morning time before 11AM.

I do not much know editing/post processing, but my college who has Adobe license provides to all employees.
Now I can use it free. I attempt using very basic tool. But still learn many.
I think I am not ready yet as you expect at your level. But start this.
Same spot same gear, but different angle.

There is a lot on you tube now about how to use adobe PS. I learned it in the early 2000’s and am still learning stuff. You got a great start though
