I spotted this young green heron fly into a tree as I was walking out of the Marine Nature Study Area in Oceanside, NY. As I began to walk toward that tree it took off and flew to this perch which was closer and I stopped to take some photos.

Number 2 is pretty cool Morris! Nice set of the little guy. Why go hunting when the snack will fly right into your open beak?
