Seems Zeiss discontinued the Zeiss Loxia 50mm f2.0
Well there are other options nowedays, and some say they are better (Voigtlander), but I still like this Loxia for it's quality of lens making, the way it focuses, and the rendering stopped down a bit.
I still use the Loxia 25/Loxia 50 pair on the A7RIII for all my travel photography.
I would buy a modern design of the Loxia 35/2 at launch if one was made (I know there's no chance of that), the Loxia 25 still is my favorite wide angle with its distinct and lively character.

"[I]n my eyes [the Voigtlander 35mm f/2 APO-Lanthar] still easily wins in this [bokeh] (or pretty much any) department against the Zeiss Loxia 35mm 2.0, which might be considered the direct competitor in the E-mount world."
And
"Some of you may already have the Zeiss Loxia 35mm 2.0 and think about switching. To those of you my recommendation is as follows: if you only use the lens at f/8.0 to f/11 anyway the upgrade won’t yield you a lot of benefits. If on the other hand you want a lens with better performance at wider apertures and a more appealing bokeh rendering the update [to the Voigtlander] may very well be worth it."
I agree. I have the Loxia and like it and use it, although consensus says the Voigtlander is a better option. I do not know how good it is the corners, but if they are aceptable, I would get the ZM now. It is smaller and lighter, and making a flat-field profile, one may apply it with one single click in rawtherapee. I am not interested in the electronics of the lens, but this is just me of course

RIP. Fantastic lens for E-mount. If you miss its rendering, the Zeiss 50/2 ZM on M-mount is the same design.
This means my Loxia 50 will become "a classic", and we may expect other Loxia's to have the same fait soon. It's a bit sad news, as the Loxia line is something special and I would regret to see this disappear.
I have a Loxia 25, 35, 50 and 85 and realy like them all. No regrets at all getting them. Pleanty of sharpness for my needs and gorgeous colours and rendering of the images. I prefer them all over my othes Sony lenses.
I don't think I will sell any of my Loxia's in near future.

We actually have two lenses that follow the same optical design as the Loxia 50/2. One is the Zeiss 50/2 ZM, and the other is the more expensive Leica 50/2 Summicron. There are some small differences (especially with the Leica) but the overall "look" is very, very similar.
Personally, I shoot with the earlier Leica 50/2 Summicron "Rigid", which also has no asphericals but features a slightly different design than the current Summicron. I like this version as it's less corrected and characterful. There's also the Light Lens Lab 50/2 Rigid, a replica of the Leica, and let's not forget the more compact LLL 50/2 Elcan, which shares a very similar rendering style.

Is this an official announcement from Zeiss?
"Zeiss Loxia lenses have been officially discontinued according to a public notice published by Kenko Tokina and confirmed to PetaPixel by Zeiss"
“In response to the latest market developments, we have decided to adapt our product portfolio and therefore, will no longer offer the lens in question,” Zeiss tells PetaPixel in an email, citing statements provided last year and confirming this quote applies to its Loxia line."
Other Loxia have been moved to the "discontinued" section on the same site. 21mm and 85mm are still available from Tokina online store at the moment (while stock remains) whereas 25mm and 50mm are already unavailable directly from them. https://www.kenko-tokina.co.jp/camera-lens/carl_zeiss/discontinued/
I think 50mm and 25mm were already marked as discontinued on their site a bit earlier and then the press release came out on 9/11 listing 4 of the Loxia lenses as discontinued. I think 35/2 is probably going to be discontinued in the near future too but perhaps due to different production schedules or something it didn't happen at the same time.
As mentioned in the other thread, Kenko/Tokina became the Japan market distributor and after sales support provider for Zeiss Loxia, Batis and Touit lenses as well as Zeiss binoculars from April 2021 (they made a contract with Zeiss to handle those) and they are making announcements about the lenses in that capacity but not sure if they are involved in any manufacturing of those products.

The Loxia 50/2.0 was a classic the day it was released: Except for not grouping elements, it's the same optical design as the original 1896 Zeiss Planar.
