Can anyone confirm my hunch that this is a Ferruginous hawk? Photographed near a prairie dog town in southern Saskatchewan.
iNaturalist says it's a western meadowlark...

This was one of the very few shots from a sequence of about 20 images that wasn't ruined by heat haze. When in doubt, shoot lots, I guess...
