NVMe M.2 SSDs are addictive. They're especially good for speedy multi-threaded file testing. It's so much faster that you might even be tempted to do it
They also speed up LrC operations that involve accessing many image files that are not stored sequentially, but that benefit depends largely on how you use LrC (or other software) and your image library.

Alan, my main drive is a NVMe M.2 as is the 4TB backup. I will go that direction with any new ones.
