Yellow and White Sweet Corn.
The end of the fresh, local sweet corn is rapidly approaching for this year.
There is a particular local "farm" that is the talk of the town for the sweetest corn around.
We are already looking forward to next year.
Yes ours is about 2-3 weeks until done. That is Maryland Eastern Shore sweet corn. This new bicolor strain seems to be extra sweet.
I have diverticulitis so I have to "chance" eating it 2-3 times a year and that is all. Also I seem to bloat from it also. And this from a kid that grew up in the cornfields of Iowa.?
Excellent!

Thanks Dan.
Fresh corn on the cob can definitely act as an "intestinal sweeper" sometimes. Does the popping variety have the same effect on you?
Yes sweet corn is a natural laxative for me Larry! I prefer to char my sweet corn on a grill as you show. The sugars from the corn seem to be much sweeter than boiling the ears.
I have a "pitted colon" so while corn is forbidden I have to have some every summer. I will take the chance a chew the kernals up as best I can!
No the popping variety does not affect me adversly! Unless I swallow "the old maids".
