p.1 #1 · X2D (ii) Strap, Clutch, Grip or Cuff

Now that eyes are once again on Hasselblad, I would like to visit the topic of straps/grips. I have all my cameras using the Peak Design series of straps, but for the X2D, I’ve preferred the PD Clutch. I’m hoping that someone has a better alternative. The weakness here is the attachment to the bottom of the camera. First, it makes it difficult to set the camera down, but more importantly, attaching the Clutch to the bottom center of the camera provides too much freedom of movement for the Clutch.

Anyone have a combination of straps, clutch, grips, or cuffs that work with the X2D series cameras?

The Hassy lug system is one of the dumbest things I've ever dealt with on a camera. Simply infuriating at times. Using the tripod screw is out of the question for me so no is my answer

The Really Right Stuff plate BX2D-B might solve this issue, but of course it adds a bit of extra bulk/weight. Supposedly, it has an attachment point on the grip side where a cuff might attach.

I use these. Can't remember if it's Falcam or Ulanzi. PD compatible but easier to get onto a tripod with the grommets attached.

I was planning on detaching the attachment clips from the neck strap included the box, and then threading anPD anchor into them. Looking at them though, they seem like they’d scratch the camera as they are made of metal…

Has anyone tried a different strap with the clips that come in the box?

I love Hasselblad's lugs, which are quick to attach and detach, and easy to untangle. The strap is flush with the body when shooting. Some may fear accidental release. I never had that, but there are lugs with locks (CHI H'BUCKLE).
