To be honest, I don’t like to get too caught up in listing numbers like focal length, aperture, and shutter speed because those settings change constantly depending on the environment, the light, and the exact moment. What really matters is being out there and understanding what you want to capture.
For example, if you’re aiming for a long exposure effect, I’ve found that around a 2-minute exposure works very well, and then I adjust everything else around the conditions. Just wondering. I like to learn what people are looking at and how they see it and what their thought process is like. When someone has a similar shot I like to know the EXIF just to see how that process was. I found initially when I started to take landscapes I was either 15mm or I was 35mm and nothing inbetween. I am starting to see the shot through the lens as I get more experience. I appreciate the feedback.
I really like the composition, treatment, and concept, but it looks like either you did not focus on the leading edge of the branch or the shadows got blocked up there, making it look more blurred than it is.
