Coleton Fishacre near Dartmouth, designed by a student of Edward Lutyens, was built in 1925 for the D'oyly Carte family (of opera company fame) and is a wonderful art deco house, well worth a visit.

I was watching the Smithsonian channel and they were showing the "hidden" getaways for the "Royals" over time. Great program.
