Beautiful and unique country out there. Your images captures the grand sparse aura of the place. Also love the warm tonal rendition. Chaco canyon, Valles Caldera, Bandelier, and many other great things to experience and photograph.
Is your image north of the 64 George Bridge?
An aside. Last time out there, I stumbled into a photography book that I wouldn't mind acquiring, Taos Portraits by Paul O'connor. It's filled with wonderful BW images of many of the artistic types, some famous and others less so, that spent time in the area over the years. If you love BW, it is certainly worth a look.

Wonderful vista and capture! A tribute to the power of water and gravity.
Thanks, Bob! Taos became a haven for artists many years ago, many of them fell in love with the area because of the skies!

I shot this right off of state highway 68, several miles SW of Taos near the Rift Valley Trailhead. The Gorge Bridge is several miles north of this scene.
Thanks for the tip by Mr. O'Connor...I'll take a look for this one. I recently purchased a book by Lee Marmon which has some beautiful portraits of the natives in N. NM. His most famous image is titled - 'White Man's Mocassins.' It may also be worth adding to your collection.

Last time out, we tent camped at the Arroyo Hondo campground down in the gorge, right next to the river. Took 570 north out, which got a bit interesting in our non-SUV wagon, especially on the climb out after crossing the river. Wish we had more time to explore the area. Certainly on our 'return visit' list, although it is over 1000miles away.
