The generous Michael Saxer has put up the plans to 3D print your own input and output reels when you use the SA-30, or modified SA-21 Nikon film strip attachment on your LS-4000 or LS-5000 scanner. This allows a 40 frame continuous scan while you run off and shoot more photos.. In the last few years these film strip and reel attachments almost require financing to purchase.

More Scanner stuff. I had Nikon Scan v4 running on Windows 10 64 bit, but it was buggy, and ended up quitting. This video had a different method, and it works. He also gets into the mirror cleaning on the LS-4000. My mirror was filthy, yet I was getting what I thought were good scans. Samples of the software and mirror cleaning results on a recent scan.
