The baby almost looks like a doll in the face Steve! Great capture!
Do you normally shoot thru the vf? Hip? tilt screen if that applies?

Don't get creeped out -- the baby in the backpack is a Reborn Baby Doll®
Sorry to pop anyone's balloon. My 50-y-o son and his wife take their silicone "baby" on walks in a stroller.

Thanks Dan. I think I shot this using the rear LCD to compose. I vary my compositional technique, sometimes shooting through the rear viewfinder, also the articulated screen. In the big city, there are people who are very sensitive to being photographed, and lifting the camera to eye level and shooting through the viewfinder is a dead giveaway. In extreme circumstances, it lead to unwanted confrontations. Getting a feel for who you should or shouldn't photograph and the best technique to use comes with experience.

GoodEgg, I'm looking forward to seeing a photo of your son and daughter in law taking a "baby" stroll.

Steve

That was the reasoning I had in asking the question Steve. I never had any luck using the rear tilt screen for any shooting. I agree about people's sensitivity towards photographs.
I was just wondering you tecjnique.
Thanks!

It’s helpful sometimes to use the rear screen tilted to look down, Rolleilex style. Dunno why but people don’t get what you’re doing and you have more time. The visoflex on late leicas tilts up and can be real handy, too
