p.1 #1 · Rocky on the hunt

Every day, Rocky runs a patrol route through the backyard looking for stray anole lizards. Today, got a POV of that poor guy hiding from the floppy-ear'd beast that won't leave well enough alone.

Very intense expression. Nice photo. Made me smile.

I would be tempted to eliminate the eye booger......

None out today, but of course since Rocky has seen them more than once, it's assumed they are there every day, lurking and plotting his demise.

I love these shots! I used to have green anoles as pets, they're funny little lizards.

Other than look wonderingly at them, what does he do when he comes upon one? Love the intensity of expression here, Scott!

He seems most interested in trying to boop them with his snout (same with frogs when they come around)...I've never seen him attempt to eat one, though that huge head of his would probably do irreparable harm if he ever made contact. This morning, this one was agitating him through the window, which Rocky kept nose-butting in frustration.

And where is Bullwinkle Scott? I say you name this nemesis "Bullwinkle"!?
Great captures! My "4legged children" loved chasing unknown critters...that is until they bit back!
Again give Rocky a hug for Uncle Dan..He deserves one!

Oh..forgot to mention we had a similar lizard like creature in Vietnam, Vietnamese Green Grass Lizard (Takydromus hani).... During the monsoon season many would seek shelter under the poncho of a soldier trying to cop some "sss" during a mission.

I looked that lizard up, the long tail variety would be enough to send me running if it got in my pancho

Thanks Scott! They were the "least" worry of the uninvited "guests" looking for a warm body and shelter......many vipers also took refuge under a poncho. Dont dare to move! They would go away eventually. The monsoon season was especially deadly for these encounters.
