p.1 #1 · Which Voiglander M mount lens work just as well on Z body as M mount body?

I have not played much with Voiglander lens and only have its original version of 35/1.2 lens.
I am looking for portrait lens/street, mainly between 35-90mm range that would work well
on both Leica body and Z body. I heard that many Z mount version is optimized for Nikon's sensor cover thickness
and the Z mount version performs better than its M mount counterpart when using with Nikon but is
there any M mount lens that work just as well on Z body?
Thanks for any information.

You can refer to this thread
https://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/1647789/0
where VM lenses' performance on Leica and Sony sensors is compared.
Nikon sensors have slightly thinner sensor stack than Sony's, however what works fine on Sony could work well on Nikon too.
For portraits, I understand the VM 75/1.5 Nokton should show similar performance on both Leica and Nikon:

Thanks for the link. I had a suspicion that 75/1.5 would be one of the candidate as longer lens
tens to have less problem at least when I tried Sony with several Leica lenses.
I skimmed through the tread but no mentioning of 50/1 asph m mount performance on
Z bodies. 50/2 apo also looks interesting but Leica 50/2 apo is my favourite small 50mm for many years now
so I have not look at that much.

See this article for many direct comparisons across Leica/Sony/Nikon bodies including the VM CV 50/1.0:

Thanks very much for the link. 75/1.5 and 50/1 are probably the two lenses that I am interested in the most.
It will be nice to have a fast, relatively smallish lens to use sometimes when the mood strike

Are you going to be using these on both Leica and Z bodies or are you just looking for M mount glass that performs very well on Z? Just noting that both of those lenses are available in Z mount so you get all the electronic connection benefits there with the Z version, but of course that isn’t as important if you’ll be using them on an M body as well.

kaskoPhoto on youtube posted a whole bunch of BTS videos of using VC lenses in Leica mount on Z mount over the last couple years. His channel is an acquired taste but he is great and should get an award for the least bs out there.

I plan to use them on both Leica and Z bodies, that's why I am looking for M mount lens rather than Z mount.
I also sometimes use M mount lens with Techart adapter on Z bodies and AF is quite good and works great for portrait
and street when I don't want to use manual focus.

Slightly Apropos perhaps, the VM 75/1.5 Nokton on a Z7...

Re: VM & Z, Can't speak to usage on other Z bodies (sensors) but I've been using M and LTM lenses interchangeably on a M-240 and Z7 since 2018. I can say that results depend a lot on how well the lens elements/groups are centered, or aren't centered ("asymetrical").
