A while back, I visited Morro Bay and decided to photograph the sunset one evening. As I headed to my chosen spot, it looked like it would be a beautiful display. However, just as I finished scouting and began setting up my camera, a thick fog rolled in, leaving only a small opening right at the horizon. When the sun finally reached that opening, it created a truly stunning display of light.
Here are the photos I captured that evening. Thanks for viewing, and all comments and critiques are welcome.
#1 looks like it needs a little CC rotation?
#2 has a nice balance with the sun and opposite side boat reflection
#3 has nice energy, gorgeous!
#4 such a pretty tone. Wondering about a pano comp?
#5 excellent leading line
#6 really striking, nice shutter, nice sky
Really nice set. You made very good use of the conditions and the light on #2 is so special. Love the soft glow on the boat. I agree with @learle, fog did work very well for you. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice. One of our favorite areas. The fog did you well this night! You did well with the opportunity!
Thanks Craig, That whole area down there is very nice and get's quite crowded. I do like how the fog worked out for this set. While talking to a local, I was told that this area sees a lot of fog. It was amazing to see how many folks were out early morning! Very photo rich location.

Nice go with what Mother Nature threw at you. I think they are even better with the fog.
Thank you I agree, the fog really added drama to these images.

Karl, always appreciate your detailed feedback. For #1 it's really hard to tell as you can't see the horizon line, but will check it out again.

Thanks, I was bummed at the conditions originally but as I looked thru images in my hotel I thought some had potential.
