We have slightly different variety Orb Weavers here, but they sure do get big huh? I hate how they make a web overnight and sit in the middle of my hiking trail waiting for me to face-plant into their web. ugh!

hihihi no not particularly big.. the body is about 15mm = 0.5905511811 inch) in size,, but it is quite big in our spider world in Sweden, our largest spider is 18 mm in the body and with legs 75mm so.. completely harmless though.. actually I don't like spiders either

Oh! Ok...The golden silk orb-weaver (Nephila clavipes), one of the largest orb weavers in Florida, can have a female body length of up to 2 inches and legs that span up to 5 inches, while males are much smaller. Yeah, not something you want to faceplant into the web of on a dark morning hike! The bite is only venomous enough to paralyze their small insect prey, but it still hurts like heck and can leave your skin around the bite messed up for weeks... don't ask how I know! The worst bite I've had is from a small brown recluse. Not fun!

Thanks Douglas and John ! Appreciate
I understand Eric that spiders are not a favorite species for you
is the same with snakes.. we only have one poisonous snake species in Sweden.. is very or almost never fatal unless you are extremely sensitive to its venom
