Swallowtail season has begun. Here's an Eastern Tiger Swallowtail feeding in my garden. I find that I have better luck capturing these with Canon's 100-500mm vs. the 100mm Macro.

Those longer FL zooms are underrated for these type of images. My 200-600mm surprises me when I use it similarly.

The best part being that I can sit my butt down at a safe distance and just start shooting without scaring the butterflies away.
