Thank you Dan! I've come across those two wa Tamrons lately.They are plasticky with terribly slow AF and no controls on the bodies,but lightweight,dirt cheap and their optics is very good/excellent.The major selling point to me however was the RR 1:2.I like doing wide angle close up from time to time.

There can be "gems" found among lenses that photographers sense are crap! I found a few myself. Hooray for me AND you!
