I'm spending a few days in the Ucluelet and Tofino area of Vancouver Island on a rare photo trip. It's great to decompress and get away from the madness of our world. These images were all converted in SilverEffex. All images taken with the GFX100S II and either the 32-64 or 45-100 lenses. This place is special, even with summer crowds. It's easy to find quiet, isolated places.
Most of these images are also shown in color over on the landscape forum.
These are just beautiful Stuart!
I love Vancouver Is! You have really captured the emotion of the area! Your processing is exceptional! I use SEFX and rarely get images looking as well as these!
Just spectacular!

Beautiful shots, love the smooth water and the mystery the fog add to the scene, 3 and 5 deserve a frame.
Thanks so much!

Thanks Dan! I'm flattered. I find the key is the color processing before the B&W conversion.

Beautiful series Stuart! Perfect subjects for B&W (PS: I definitely prefer the B&W renderings to the color versions, for whatever that's worth.)
I tend to agree since foggy, misty conditions really stand out with B&W.

This is even more STUNNING on a 30" calibrated monitor Stuart!!
Wow!!!

Tha nk Dan. I edited these on a 17" laptop. I'll be back to my 27" inch calibrated monitors on Friday and see exactly what I edited lol! Maybe my laptop has a better screen than I realized lol!
Based on a suggestion over in the landscape forum on the color versions, I cropped one of the images. I think it nicely removes the lower right part of the image, which was indeed a bit distracting.
