Beware of a seller named SSJS75 with some suspiciously, cheap Fuji and Sony cameras on eBay right now. It is a Shopify scam and the seller will ask to finish the purchase off of eBay. I would recommend avoiding.

Shopify has enabled a lot more scammers than before. The storefronts look legit. This eBay to Shopify path you describe is very common. I had to get my credit card company and USPS involved recently to get my money back.
In my case, the scammer went a step ahead and mailed a package to my city and zip code. USPS tracking showed it as delivered. I went to USPS and was told that the package was delivered to a mailbox parcel locker in an apartment building. I don't live in an apartment.
Long story short, USPS gave me letter stating that the package was not addressed to me and opened a criminal investigation when I gave them the details. The scammer initiated the refund ASAP after this. I got lucky in this case.
I raised a case with Shopify too, but no action was taken. The storefront is hosted on Shopify and the payment processing is through Shopify as well. If I get time, I will raise this with state attorney general as Shopify has some responsibility here esp after concerns are raised. That storefront was still active a few weeks after all this happened.

I came across one of these last week. Saw like a $4000 GFX100II. Asked for more pics of the item, told me they couldn't provide them. I inquired around, asked some people I knew if this was legit. Deliberated, was like, "naw." Week later got a email from Ebay the account got hacked. Were based out of a shopify and everything. Hotmail account and several mismatching addresses between Ebay seller and Shopify seller so I bailed. It's getting too risky out there now.

What a horrific story. I knew Ebay was bad and their fees extortionist but I had no idea they were that bad.

Yeah , it should be common sense if you're buying anything online, if it's too good to be true..
The other big red flag is that these accounts have zero feedback. There are a ton of these profiles out there.
Ever had other people use it to their advantage? It might be a common facebook scam cause I've had people do this same tactic twice to try to get me to lower my price. They will send me link to those scam auctions and tell me that my price is too high and I should match these scammers. I always say the same thing "Go buy it from them."
I even had one guy message me saying that I should match those prices cause he ended up getting scammed, therefore I needed to make it right for him. The nonsense some people come up is crazy.

This seller specifically had a lot of reviews with 100% positive feedback, so I am wondering if it got hacked or something.

Absolutely every single person trying to push you outside of the Ebay system is a fraudster. They are either a semi-legit seller who doesn't want to pay the listing fees, or they are a complete fraud. Either way, you really don't want to do any business with them.

Don't forget the sob stories to trick some people. "Selling this item at a super low price for cancer treatment for my son!"
Or go check your local Facebook marketplace. The amount of scam listings are through the roof there.
Selling on facebook is also wild too. I have no idea if it's just my area but everytime I post something for sale I get braindead people contacting me. Last month I put up a posting about an Adapter I was looking for. And I had someone just sending me messages about the lenses and camera they had for sale. I should have taken screenshots over these past 2 years of buying/selling stuff and made a book about it.

Problem is Ebay fees are so high there is a strong incentive to go outside the system.

Not just camera kit, Was thinking about replacing my Garmin cycle gps.
Around GBP 630 but shopify account had one on sale for < 50% so checked Trust Pilot and deleted the tab as I felt it could go nowhere good, with no foot print there.
