Blue Mounds is the name of a small town in south central Wisconsin. In the last few years there's been an effort to bring some of the old buildings back to life, and it's paying off. The town is adjacent to a popular bike trail that people from several states come to ride and the businesses are doing a nice job attracting customers. The Opera House is owned by a friend of mine and he's operating it as a very cozy coffee house/restaurant/book store he's named the ObertAlvin (after his grandfathers). The original stage is on the top floor.

Your excellent b&w photography, sharp, crisp tones, only enhances the wonderful "retro" feel of the architecture Brent! I would live to live in a town like this. You have that sheen I desire!
Just wonderful photography brother!

Beautiful shots Brent. I really admire your eye for small town charm. The symmetry and composition in that first image are so well executed; I can practically feel the tranquil, quiet atmosphere of the empty streets.
