I have a Z8 and ZF. I’m using a Peak Design cuff on both for the past year.
Kind of over the cuff. Not supportive after longer use. Can’t use both hands if need be. Bunch of other factors.
To boot, I’ve been shooting events, shooting a concert soon and plan to do much more of both in the near future.
I’m thinking of just hopping over to the peak design slide and slide light for the z8 and zf.
If anyone chimes in with alternatives at the price I’m all ears.
Utilitarian. Tough. Light. Not fancy. Comfort.
2nd part is this;
At some events and at the coming concert I’m planning on/am implementing the use of 2 cameras together for lens swap without swapping. Should I just cross 2 single straps over my head and body or also look into a 2 camera strap and by a total of 3 straps? 2 single and 1 double.
The one Canon sends when you join CPS is good (optech?) but you would have to frankenstein the attachment points. Recently I grabbed one of those made with climbing rope (from etsy, a million vendors have them) and I really like it for comfort and has the peak clips (probably knockoff's) - if you use one shoulder this will not work as it will tend to roll but worn cross body they are great IMO.
For multiples, you should look at those dedicated dual strap with the connection behind the back. I think multi straps would end up been a mess.
That seems to be the best bet. I ordered 2 peak design for general use. I’ll order a dedicated 2 camera strap as well then. Thank you.

Op-Tech USA has a good cheap dual camera harness. Maybe its a liitle large for short and thin folks but for mine 180cm/82kg its very convenient. Sometimes I even use it with one camera, putting a lens pouch as counterweight (to walk w/o any bag and free hands).
I've used PD straps for 10 years. After recently trying several alternatives with what I thought could be better quick release mechanisms, I've come to a conclusion: PD is the least worst strap.
I put the ball connectors on a small arca-type plate under my camera so it hangs down like Black Rapid but does not twist much.
The shoulder pad and strap tends to move around my neck and go behind me so I use the left arm tether strap most of the time. The camera connector moves up and down in a loop from the main strap that gets bigger or smaller as the camera moves. The camera does not slide freely along the strap quite like on a Peak Design or Black Rapid. There is some resistance at the shoulder pad as the camera comes up and the loop gets smaller. This causes the pad to move around behind me more than it otherwise might.
The strap takes up less space in a camera bag than most straps and is pretty easy to disconnect from the camera.
I wanted to occasionally use two straps crossed over each other but the pad is oriented for right side carry only and the arm strap wouldn't work right. Black Rapid makes right and left side strap options. PGYTech makes a dual/triple camera strap but I haven't tried it. I also use an Optech strap attached to the camera top connectors mostly on the right side for use with flash.
