I got out of the city with a couple of friends yesterday and drove to an area called Blue Mounds in southwest Wisconsin. While driving around we came across this very old cabin which doesn't look like it will be standing much longer. It's too bad someone couldn't have gotten hold of it years ago when it could still have been rehabbed. The dovetail joints are impressive.

Thanks, Dan. I wanted to get out and explore the place but one of the guys with me was on a tight schedule and had to get back to town. I'm planning to go back there soon.

Oh what stories it may hold within it's doomed structure! Nice find, Brent! The interesting thing is the house number. These structures are sometimes still salvageable even at this stage. Didja get a look inside?

Thanks much, Douglas. I'm going back in a couple of weeks and plan to spend some time looking around (but probably will not go in.)
