p.2 #1 · Like a virgin to a child... which manual M-lens would you buy first for the SL2-S?
Thank you very much again for your suggestions. I will go through all of them.
Now, I‘m waiting for my SL 24-90 and 90mm Summicron to arrive. My camera has arrived, but no life without a lens

OP
I would try what you have for the SL before buying anything more. That 24-90 is my favorite SL lens by far. Actually since acquiring it, I have not used any of my APO prime lenses even though they are within the 24-90 range-it is that good of a lens.

Thank you for your recommendation. Very much appreciated. I like lenses that produce boekh that resembles paintings. Allegedly, the Summilux 75 1.4 is one of those lenses. I'm just not sure which version.
The German last versions seem to hold value, but there is nothing wrong with the first version made in Canada. Either way get it 6 bit coded so that if used on your SL exif data is known.

That is what I'm hoping for. I have so many wonderful lenses, I wouldn't want to start a new System buying new lenses again. So if the 24-90mm would do, that'll be wonderful! One additional lens for the very special and "artistic" pictures would be great. But I'll have to find out.

I did some research before deciding for the first version. This seems to be the "real" Mandler-version. The pictures shown above were all made with the first version since Matt Osborne (Mr. Leica) uses this version too. But I have no idea if it's really visible nor if I can make it visible .
Ah, where can I get it 6 bit coded? Local Leica distributor?

And like the previous post suggested you can get a template to make the codes on the lens from a number of sources. I think paint--I used paint for small plastic model cars--works a bit better than a sharpie. 1wanab1 had 3-D printed templates he shared with many of us. You might PM him and see if he still has any. He is a very helpful forum member.
