See below.
Sam's Creek is the border line between Frederick and Carroll Counties. It was also Boss Hammonds quarry for his stone. What is really remarkable is that the "tooling" of the inscriptions are so crisp and sharp. Weather appears to be a non issue for degradation!
Thanks!
Dan
These headstones were taken from 2 different cemeteries.
This article fails to tell the reader that all Boss Hammond's stone was taken from Sam's Creek.

Love these images...that man did some incredible work! Thanks for sharing these.
Thanks Al!
He did indeed!
His back story is even better. The article here is not a good one. A "snip" from a newspaper post.

Dan, nice and you got some amazing details. Did you use Adobe adaptive profile?
Thank you Parul!
No I did not. I did some minor editing in ACR(Light and Effects) then converted in Nik SefxPro....
Your suggestion has been asked of me before and is on my "to do" list.
Thanks!

Thanks brother!
These came out better than the initial conversions done years ago.

Very impressive work--both his carving and your photography of the headstones. Beautiful detail and tonality.

Thank you Brent. I have taken your suggestions and applied them here.
I think we have a "hit record" brother! Yes some fine tuning is necessary.
Thanks again!
