Appears that Sony increased a bunch of prices, and are now offering reductions equal to or less than the original increase.
I suspect that this is, at least in part, a response to the tariffs. Raising the list price allows them to pass on the tariff tax to buyers, of course. But because tthe tariffs are so disjoined and on-again-off-again, they can offer “discounts” when they are in the “off” (or lower) state.
Of course, what the discounts now do is take the prices back to where the LIST prices were pre-tariff, for teh most part… so instead of getting a true discount we are imagining that paying list price is a deal!
Various shenanigans to give the perception of prices staying the same. I'm just glad that camera gear cannot be subjected to shrinkflation like so many other consumer goods have been since the pandemic. Imagine getting one less lens element or AF motor while still paying the old price

Fuji cameras(gfx) stopped bundling a charger, whereas I was pleasantly surprised that the A1ii included their newer dual charger.

I have mixed feelings about including chargers these days, especially when generic USB-C chargers work on just about everything. I can see why it would be attractive to get one if you are buying your first camera and don’t already have one, but quite often we already have chargers and something ends up going to waste.
The fact of the matter is that nothing is free, and if there is an included charger you are paying for it.
I disagree. I think that for all intents and purposes, it really is free. Or at least a bonus. Sony was going to price the a1ii at 6500 regardless.
Also, usb for...in camera battery charging you mean?

Not on everything. The 400-800G and 70-200GII remain grossly inflated.
Agreed; I just purchased the Sigma 70-200 for my a1, I simply could not justify the price difference, even at the cost of 15fps.
I still want the Sigma 300-600 too, the fact that it is half the price of the Sony 600 prime is further proof that Sony has over-inflated the value of their products.
