It’s disgusting just how much garbage is strewn about on Nickerson beach: off the sides of the boardwalk to the beach, captured in the fences, in the dunes and in the bird nesting areas. I’ve been along the south shore beaches from east of Nickerson to Montauk and have never seen anything like it.

The last I was there about 3 weeks ago, the beach was immaculate. It's usually well maintained. If that has changed it's a shame.
