Unlike the 850nm and 950nm lens filters that I use, that only produce B&W images, I also have a number of filters that do pass some colors. You might think of it as almost color toning of a B&W image. Today, I played with a 680 nm filter. This one lets in even more color than the 'standard' 720 nm IR filter. First I'll show you the Image I converted to B&W.
As you can see, I can use low ISO, higher shutter speeds, and smaller f-stops. That means that I can handhold the camera. That is not possible in all cases with the 850 and 950 filters.
