I spent some leisure time in Arizona and the Sonoran desert back in 1967 between training at Ft Huachuca(Waa-chew-ka). Nice!

NO!!
It was late November when I was there. Very mild weather! Ft Huachuca(Mexico-Az border), Tuscon, Tombstone, Cochise Stronghold and of course the "boneyard" at Davis-Moffit base. in S. Az were fine.

I spent a month down in Tucson sector in December of last year. Davis-Moffit was quite imposing, intimidating, and beautiful especially during sunset.
