GRIII, along one of my biking routes. Many times I’ve stopped and photographed this structure, finally today I got something I liked.

I also like it, Rod. Beautiful tonality and a nice composition the really isolates the subject.

I agree with the above Rod! Growing up in Iowa, these structures were part of the horizon that went on forever! The vignetting really adds to the beautiful image! It could be the 1950's when I lived there!
Super Rod!

Thanks all, glad you enjoyed it.

Dan, you grew up in Iowa? What town? I lived in Cedar Rapids for 9 years.

Rod

I was born in Des Moines in 1947. My father and mother both left the Navy after WWII. Dad was finishing his doctorate in Pharmacy from Drake Uni.
When he finished we moved to Ft Dodge and I spent 10 wonderful years there!

My father owned Iowa Medical Supply in Ft Dodge. He supplied anything rural doctors needed and in his VW bus delivered them the medical supplies/medicines they needed. If they needed a re-supply, he did that also. From FT Dodge East, West, North and into S. Minnesota. He was born and raised in Sibley, Iowa.

I loved Iowa!! We moved to Maryland in 1958.

Been to CR many times Rod!
My military "call sign" was Hawkeye (One Zero) after the State bird!
