Reykjavík’s brief summer, from late May until the end of July, brings with it a moment that defies the clock and exceeds latitude’s promise: a light so numinous that even midnight feels gently lit from within. When conditions align, as they occasionally do, the city glows, with façades and pathways touched by a radiance that’s both generous and short-lived.
These photographs offer a glimpse into that brief interlude, when Reykjavík moves at half-pace beneath a sky that won’t darken.
Your "hot season" is just long enough for me amigo! I hate summer! The heat and humidity here is unbearable at my age. I am an olde fart!
Now ..your images are just fantastic!! So vibrant, colorful, lit perfectly by the sun and exposed perfectly by you!
So well done!
