p.1 #2 · Fuji GFX 100 ii and 100s ii: Zero Inventory
Main Canadian camera stores (Vistek, Henry's, Camera Canada) have GFX100 II and GFX100 RF in stock, not GFX100S II. I think there might be a relatively higher interest in the latter. I see GFX100S II is available from third-party suppliers on Amazon Canada but not from Amazon. I guess this is a supply issue.

Interesting...there hasn't been any inventory at BH pr Adorama nor my local store...although MPB has a 2-3 used listed at above new price.
I will continue to wait...hard to beat BH on anything new given they pay the sales tax.

Is there any chance they are updating the 100s II with a CF-B slot? Seems daunting offloading gigabytes of files from an SD card. Dual slots is fine but dual SD on a 100MP body with 16bit files?

That seems unlikely given 100sii is relatively new...maybe the next iteration, which seems like a couple years away.

My guess is it’s a little of Fuji being Fuji but also possibly waiting until tariffs were settled. My shop is out of the 100 S II but we do have a couple of the 100 II. We do collect tax for California though.

Curious if anyone could comment on the zero to low inventory. Is this a tariff related issue or just Fuji being Fuji?

Follow up, I was hoping that the inventory would show up after the pricing adjustments, but nothing so far, BH is not even taking orders…this seems a like a little bit more than Fuji being Fuji. I recently sold off most of my gear to clear my mind of photography for a bit (just a hobby), but will buy back into to either GFX or Hasselblad X. Hoping the inventory will start to roll in again…appreciate if anyone has any insight to share?

I got my GFX100II right before tariffs hit. Got it used. Usually helps to stalk Adorama and B&H's used site. Will occasionally pop up. If you want it new, I don't know what to tell you. Rod.smith7 wrote:

Why would Fuji make more 100ii just to have them gather dust on shelves at $8500? That camera is completely DOA now thanks to tariffs. At least they have a CHANCE at selling a dentist an RF.

Yeah, I prefer to buy used and always on the lookout…but zero new inventory seems to have significantly curtailed the GFX used market.

Well, the 100s ii is still very well positioned at $5699 and would hardly call the 100 ii DOA even though I would not buy one (too big for me), the detachable / swivel evf is a game changer for some. Overall, GFX is still significantly cheaper than Hasselblad X when factoring in lenses, although the gap has closed some…either way, I am in no rush and is liberating to be camera free at the moment. I am mostly curious as to why the inventory hasn’t shown up yet…the X2Dii will be hard to resist.

Crazy that the Hassy X2Dii is over $1000 cheaper than the GFX 100ii now. Hasselblad cheaper than Fuji - never thought I'd see it. Yes, the lenses are more expensive on the Hasselblad, but still.
GFX 100ii plus 45-100 f4 = $11,100
X2Dii plus 35-100 f2.8 - 4 = $12,000
8% difference on the mid-range zoom combo.
If the X2Dii's AF can equal the GFX, I can see a lot of people going H instead of F.

No one trusts buying a GFX100 II at >$8K after what Fujifilm did to GFX 100 buyers by releasing the 100S at half its price. Hasselblad is killing the 100 II before Fujifilm even gets a chance to, though.
The tilt-swivel is cool, but those of us who owned the 50S know it’s just an easy and expensive point of failure.

GXF cameras don't hold their value at ALL, either, unlike the $1500-2000 APS-C versions. The one-year-old $5500 100Sii is now easy to find for $2000 less on the used market.

I would think this is similar to other used luxury goods that take massive depreciation hits on the used market. I looked up a Hasselbad 100C and found that $8,200 new camera can be had for $5k used on FM, seems similar. There is always a small pool of buyers willing to pay a lot for a used high end good anything vs. a cheaper, new item. Unless there is scarcity driving used pricing up Personally, buying used Gfx has worked well for me. Both of my ended up taking a vacation to Fuji for repairs, both done for reasonable prices very quickly. So I haven't found the lack of warranty to be a problem.

The X2D is not a current-gen model, unlike the 100Sii and 100ii. It was holding value very well until last week.

I suspect it hurts the value of the 100SII to be widely considered a very minor upgrade over the 100S. Do you think there are other reasons? I wish the GF110 would drop a little more, .

I think the 100S used prices dropping to insanely low amounts (sometimes just over $2,000!) is what has hurt the 100Sii resale values the most. The cameras being quite similar in form and function mean that Sii sellers have to compete with very low 100S prices.

I definitely agree that GFX does not hold its value as well as the premium brands like Leica and Hasselblad. However, I was able to sell my 100s for $2400 several months ago and they’re now selling in the $2800-3000 range, probably because of the 100sii low inventory. The used 100sii’s are not that plentiful and go fast when they pop up, $4000 range from what I have seen.
