Not sure how you came up with all the halos, sometimes downsizing for the web will do it. If they are also on your full sized image it is possible to clean them up. Simply set your clone tool to darken only and use a small fuzzy brush.

As soon as I started playing with the background, it haloed...and I couldn't figure out how to get rid of it without reducing the background texture. Thanks so much for explaining this to me. Appreciate it.
Nice job on your second re-edit of the chopper, as for what I think is a C130, I am not a fan of all the overall grain, and halo on the tail wing. Perhaps you added the grain for the effect.
