A few years ago, while I was staying in Monterey, I decided to drive down to Bixby Bridge to catch the sunset. I was really excited when I arrived because I saw some great cloud cover, which often makes for a colorful sunset. However, as the sun began to set, a thick fog started to roll in. Soon, the only light piercing through was casting a direct glow onto the iconic Bixby Bridge. I'm sharing a couple of images I managed to capture during my outing and last image is from following day. Thanks for viewing, and comments and critiques are welcome!
The California coastline truly is one of the most beautiful drives in the US. I miss it, the Central Coast, and consequently the Bixby Bridge, quite dearly! Wonderful colors and compositions.

Beautiful, especially the first one-
Thanks Bill, I was not sure if I should post one or 2 images of similar location. Glad I did both.

#2 for me - you handled the light/color just right. The moon adds a nice touch.
Thanks Jim, to be honest, it was quite hard to PP this image. I sat on it for few days and finally worked the WB and that seem to work. I am so glad that you found the image to have just the right light and colors.

Nice calming compositions here brother!
Here in Mary-land we are sweltering in extreme heat and humidity! These cool me down a tad!

You are so right! California coastline in Monterey is just incredible and every turn has something to photograph. When I worked I use to visit that area at least once a month and was such a treat to get out there. I definitely miss that. Glad you enjoyed viewing the set.

The moon is a nice addition. Very nice shots!
Thank you and I agree about the moon. Bixby bridge is always hit and miss, I have been there many times and the fog and wind is always unpredictable. This time it worked out.

Very well executed and liked the way you PP these images. Agree with others about addition of moon.
Thank you. This image was tough to PP as getting the correct WB was the key in this image. Very minimal PP in LR.

Bixby bridge is such an iconic location , and its sounds like like the atmospheric conditions created a unique and moddy setting for your sunset photography
Thank you, that whole drive is very nice and so many amazing locations to stop and admire the coastline. The think cloud cover and fog worked out well for these images.

Great work! I miss driving down the coast after moving away from California. These shots really capture the beauty.
Thank you
I was lucky to be able to travel for work often in Monterey. I always stayed at Seaside and couldn't wait to get back to hotel after work and drive the coast.

These are all great shots 👍🏻
Particularly drawn to the #2, beautiful
Thanks and #2 happens to be my favorite too. These images were hard to PP for me as getting WB was the key. I was happy at the outcome and glad others have enjoyed viewing them. 👍🏻
