is a painting by the renowned artist, John Singer Sargent. It's part of a larger exhibit of Sargent's work currently on view at the Met in NYC. Definitely worth a visit to see this skillful painter at his best.

Had to get the catalog, it was such a nice exhibit. The quality of the light in his paintings has a really unique directional yet soft luminescence. Also interesting how they are often highly detailed at the point of focus, and get more suggestive/sketchy further out in the frame, mimicking how when you look at something you get a variance of sharp/softness between your focus and peripheral vision. Nice capture
