Just so nice in so many ways Brent! Plus it gets more interesting the more I look into it. At first glance I thought, "He should crop it a bit." Then as I looked at it, I realized that would trim out the subtle light and shadow play on the foreground foliage and/or the framing from the upper right branches; and we don't need anything more to know the subject is a fisherman enjoying himself. Overall a really lovely capture, perfectly composed and very nicely processed.
Less the modern boat and another person, this reminds me of my childhood at my father's family cabin on Lake Vermilion in NE Lake-of-the-Woods country Minnesota. The quiet was an "outta the body experience".......When I returned from Vietnam in 1969, I spent the Spring of 1970 at Vos's(Swedish immagrants) Outting Camp. I was tired! This rejuvinated me immensly and allowed me to get my head back to normal...whatever "normal" is after a 6 year interrupted experience. Plus the fresh fish dinner every night was an added plus!!!
Well done..Leave as is! Lakes are not "cropped".
I know I have imposed upon your thread..if this detracts from it let me know I will "Delete" it!
