I've been using a LUME CUBE light panel. I really like it. It's very small, light, and inexpensive so I can just stuff it in my pocket when I don't need it. It's designed to fit in the hotshoe but I'm finding that places it too far away from my subjects so I've been holding it in my lens supporting hand just under the front of the lens. It works nice also if you place it say underneath a leaf or something to create a backlight effect. What I'm looking for now is a flexible arm that attaches to the hotshoe and then holds the Cube. I think that would work much better than holding it by hand The only complaint I have is the battery life is not the greatest. Thinking of getting another one as they're rechargeable, no removable battery.
