That is some wild action Morris, I feel bad for the oystercatcher... I guess terns must have a little laughing gull in their gene pool somewhere... (kidding, sort of) I've seen laughing gulls attack birds many times larger over food, like egrets and ibis. Some birds are just greedy bullies.
The last shot helped bring my BP back down though, so thanks for that, cute shot!

When I saw the second attack shown I thought that the tern had gone for the chicks and the adult shielded them yet reviewing the burst I don't see them in any frame.
