p.1 #1 · Switzerland in Black and White - Calendar
I decided to take the advice I give to my consulting clients and do a bit of my own marketing. My work is not in photography - but the people I work with have expressed appreciation for some of the photos I have included in my presentations and holiday cards.
I am testing out a calendar from Whitewall - a single copy should arrive next week and then I'll decide on final size and paper before I order a batch and mail them to selected clients (and some family and friends, as well as 2 galleries I have had work in),
I'm using a stock template in their calendar builder, and I'm keeping it simple. This is in A4 size but after seeing the test calendar I will likely jump it up the larger size.

Two that I considered, but felt I had a moon already, and the image from the train platform isn't as strong as some of the others - although as an image I find it more interesting that the sheep and the Matterhorn, but as representative of Switzerland it didn't make the cut (along with about 20 others...)

I especially like the Matterhorn shot. That was a peak I always wanted to see in person, and I did. Visiting friends in Switzerland many years ago, we had lunch at a mountain-side ski area restaurant (Zermatt maybe?) looking across a valley at this great mountian.
Now, got anything from the Castle of Chillon? A place I'd like to see again someday.

Thanks Rod. Yes, the Matterhorn is in the village of Zermatt. Lots of restaurants, my favorite is above town and you can only get there by hiking. You cannot see the Matterhorn from there, but the other horns across the valley are equally inspiring.
I’ve not been to Castle Chillon. Was in Geneva when we first decided to more here, but we settled in the German speaking part.
I posted a few years about an image of comet neowise over the castle in Rapperswil. Not as impressive as Chillon, but close by!

Great work! I'm sure everyone who gets a calendar will be very happy. Of course I love the mountains, esp. the curving glacier, but moon over tree is really outstanding.

Thank you Jim!

Just wonderful photography here Mike! I love Switzerland! My wife's great grandfather was from there.
Your images are sharp, crisp, tones to die for.....just so well done!

Thank you!
Yeah I found that interesting - thankfully I know enough German to download the local language designer app, and they have UK / English option for the months and dates.

Very nice collection. Great work.
Interesting that Whitewall offers calendars on their EU site but not the US site.

Thank you! I received first copy and I didn't like the way the images presented when using the inkjet paper... so I ordered another - this time on satin photo paper (double the cost) - and I upped the size from a4 to a3. We'll see when it arrives next week.
I did swap out an image... will be a good test as it is a difficult one - fog / mist. So depending on how I like the photo paper I can swap things back.
